Advantages Cost effective and it works.
Disadvantages Can easily use too much.

We have our carpets cleaned about once a year by a company that comes in and does them all in a day. Inevitably over the next 12 months we will get the odd small stain caused by; dirty shoes (forever reminding my son to take them off at the front door), food spillages (eating front of the telly) and drink spillages. For these small stains we use 1001 mousse. It comes in a 300ml aerosol tin (as shown in the picture). What the picture does not show is, as you take off the lid there is a handy plastic 'scrubbing' brush attached to the tin, just above the apeture where the foamy mousse is released ... more

THE BACKGROUND ************************** As I have two dogs I like to keep a stock of cleaning materials around for the unexpected . Despite being fully trained my dogs do unfortunately occasionally get sick or walk dirt in . I have two electric carpet shampooers but try and have something to hand which can give instantaneous cleaning , even if only as a temporary measure . Shopping at Wilko last week I bought a can of 1001 Carpet Cleaning Mousse . I have used this product before but have not seen it in my local shops lately . Advantages good price, clever design, does the trick
Disadvantages would have liked the stain out that bit more

When it comes to cleaning I am not the most up to date on the best brands and products to use as it is only recently I have had my own house. I was having a social gathering the other week when one of the guests spilled a glass of orange juice over my cream carpet. I started to panic as I wanted the stain to come out and needed to run to the supermarket right away to find a product that would be able to get rid of this mark on my floor. Down the cleaning aisle there was a selection of products that were for removing carpet stains but some were a bit pricey costing over a fiver which is more ... more
