Well my last op for this year is something that we all could do with. The festivities are nearly now at an end and we will all be returning back to a quieter life until next year, we do all the same stuff again.
We have had a very quiet Christmas and most of it was on here as everyone was cancelling as they were all ill. I am not moaning it has been rather romantic ;0)
So we have little buffets running around and of course things get spilled and marked and the horror on your face shows, and when someone apologises, you say it is ok, but underneath you are spitting feathers.
The 1001 Troubleshooter is a stain removed for carpets and upholstery and I have a very nice chinese rug and it had little paw prints all around it.
The bottle is a spray bottle in navy blue and has a yellow spray lid and squeezer handle, the front of the bottle has Troubleshooter 1001 in yellow and it says it attack stains and dirt fast. On the back is directions for use and also warnings.
You must always test a patch first to make sure it does not ruin what you are doing. It claims to rub out stubborn stains and also ones that are dried in. Quick effective removal you can trust, lets see eh!
Well the part that is stained on my rug is the beige part so I squirt away and out comes this nice smelling frothy liquid. At first look it looks like saliva, that is the best way to describe it. It soaks into my rug quite easily. I then follow the instructions and with a damp cloth work from the outside of the stain inwards. I am but am getting sick of rubbing so hard and for so long on a stain that it is not that quick or effective, you need a lot of spray and elbow grease so I spray some more on it.
After my rug is dry I Hoover it and it does look cleaner but I am not that impressed with the overall outcome as I had to rub so hard to get it up and was sure that other things that I had in my kitchen would have done just as well.
For the price, I paid which was £2.39 from Spar, I expect at least decent results. In the end I took my rug up and went and bought a foam version of another well know product and this was brilliant.
Yes it did work but it was a lot of hard work and the results were only satisfactory.
There is a carpet care advice line on 0800 581001 to ring regarding this product.
Oh well, everything you test out can't be excellent but I will not waste this sort of money again on this product. You can buy this at hardware shops and all local supermarkets. No I am not going to recommend this as it was too much hard work for little results.
