The 1001 Troubleshooter stain remover spray makes life much easier. Do not get me wrong, I like the 1001 products full stop but having a ready made stain removal solution in a very easy to handle spray bottle does simplify matters.
If you are going in search of a bottle of 1001 Troubleshooter stain remover then just keep an eye out for the very familiar colours that the WD-40 Company use to market this carpet and upholstery cleaner. 1001 liquid comes in a vibrant yellow bottle with a royal blue cap and those colours do make the product stand apart from other cleaners.
I paid £1.80 for my 1001 Troubleshooter , the bottle has a spray top that has a nozzle which can be turned to twist it on or off. If you want to tackle smaller stubborn stains then this spray bottle of 1001 solution is ideal. I am always using it on my stair carpet, time after time we traipse up the stairs and leave some dirt that has clung to the soles of our shoes on the plain green carpet.
The bottle can be aimed directly at the stain which makes the cleaner highly efficient, press the spray nozzle and a light coating of white foam covers the mark. Take a soft cloth and work the foam into the stain, then leave the area to dry and vacuum it over thoroughly afterwards. The light foam is only semi-wet and it dries in no time at all, once it has completely dried then you have a job to notice where you have been cleaning. The foam leaves no trace behind it and it is very easy to vacuum up afterwards. Usually one application will be plenty, I find that I rarely have to apply the foam for a second time. They do say that long pile or heavily soiled carpet may need a second going over though.
It can be used on most carpets, though they do recommend that you do a test patch before you begin. The 1001 cleaner is wool safe approved. If you have lots of sticky little fingers roaming around then I am sure that you would bless this cleaner, I have safely removed chocolate and the odd food stains from the fabric on my sofa's after the family have been to visit.
They do say that you should not use the 1001 cleaner on velvet or brocade materials though. The light foam does have a slight smell attached to it but it is not an unpleasant one.
If you were going to clean an entire carpet then you would need to look at the other options available. The 1001 Troubleshooter spray is really only for removing the odd marks and spots.
This cleaning product like any other needs to be kept out of the reach of children.
1001 have a host of products to offer, I have bought the mousse cleaner but I personally prefer the Troubleshooter, it seems to offer better value. As well as providing us with the carpet cleaners they have a laminate and wood cleaner and a shampoo that can be used in machines. There is a special Pet stain remover and a selection of carpet and upholstery fresheners too.
I feel that this product is invaluable, it is useful, economical and it works well. 1001 products are available in most leading supermarkets and hardware stores.
