I would just like to write a review on this, as I have just joined one of my local gyms. It is one that is attached to the hospital I work in, although it is also open to the wider public.
As a member of NHS staff, I get a special rate of £27 a month which is all inclusive - a proper gym induction where I get to learn how all the equipment works; my own programme workedout for me by a qualified instructor; any class I want to go to without having to pay anything extra, and use of the squash court at a very nominal cost. All I really have to pay a bit extra for are towels or shower gel etc, and sqaush balls. Otherwise, people can pay £31.20 per year but they have to pay per visit - loads more!
So why should people workout? To get fit!
Not only that, but you will feel loads better about yourself both physically and mentally ...
Advantages: Funny, engaging, easy to read chick lit Disadvantages: Some graphic scenes and swearing
an unsuccessful actress, filling in time as a waitress. This gives the character the opportunity to do all those mundane things that we can all identify with, as well as giving her the possibility of mixing in much more glamorous circles which, of course, she does do. The secondary characters are also likeable and interesting, with a good mix of young characters including Sarah's flatmate and friends and older family members, dishing out well-meant, often unintentionally funny advice in the way that only family can!
This is a pleasant novel and I read it easily within the space of a few days. It wasn't a gripping read as such but I was genuinely interested to read what the outcome would be for Sarah and whether or not she would end up 'living happily ever after' which is essentially what Sarah is looking for.
