...well they don’t still make it as I would probably lose all of my crowns!
Most of the points mentioned above were only happy because of two things in my life and I miss them most of all.

...particular order here are my 10 things I miss about my childhood.
1) My Family: When I grew up we had quite a full family; there always seemed to be someone around to stay. Now I find myself at the grand old age of 33 with only two members of family left (from when I was born). And one of those I have not spoken too since 1994. I think the time it hits home most of all is Christmas; I wish that my children would have a Grandparent to look up to ... ...of which is still alive and she fills a massive void in respect of family. But she theoretically is my children's great grandmother and they don't get the quality of life I got from my Grandparents. I have great memories of going out places with Grandparent's visiting Zoo's or going to shopping centres or tourist attractions. But for my children they don't have this as my Grandmother is really too old for this. So I kind of feel that I've lost two ...

Advantages: Makes you feel good, can live on in your own children Disadvantages: Makes you feel depressed
...was not entirely impressed.lol
10. Innocence/ nievity
This is a child like quality that i do miss. Just having things go over your head because you dont understand them. Not understanding why people are doing bad things to each other or shouting at each other. Looking at 2 people kissing and thinking ooooooo look at them kissing. I saw you kissing!!! Not knowing about things you shouldn't know about at that age because it wasn't plastered all over ...

Advantages: Grandads, Uncles, Sindy Dolls and Mr Ben Disadvantages: They don't last forever!
...get straight on with the 10 things I miss about my childhood:
1) My Grandad, he died when I was 7 but he only lived around the corner from me when he retired, so I saw him every day and can remember him as if it was yesterday. I once fell off a friend's bike when she was giving ma a "saddle ride", she turned around a corner which felt like 70 miles an hour to me only being six at the time - and fell off the bike just as a bus was coming towards ... ...to the swings - a 10 minute walk away from the flat. All my mum had to do was yell from our 3 storey top window when it was time to come in, I could hear her for miles, unfortunately so could everybody else!
7) Proper snow! We lived in a cul-de-sac, with our flat at the bottom, the snow came down big style one night, one particular year, (I bet the oldies like me can guess what year) My mum had fallen out with one of the neighbours (something to ...

Advantages: Reminds me what made childhood magic and how I want my kids to have the same. Disadvantages: Another reminder of time passing by.
...great TV.
Here are 10 things I miss about my childhood.
***28-a-side football matches***
All the lads will remember these… 56 Kevin Keegans charging around the football pitch, 2 in goal and 54 in a 3 square foot area around the ball, 39 of whom would never get to actually touch the ball for weeks. 15 didn’t even realise they were involved in a game. They just wanted to see what was going off.
I think this is where I developed my sporting ‘style’, ... ...old Grandad who passed away 10 years ago. The time spent exploring his garden, massive sheds and cellar was magical and some of my favourite memories were created while sitting with him in his living room. Coal fire roaring, cup of tea with Mount Everest of the tea-leaf world at the bottom of the cup, ginger biscuits and chats about how Huddersfield Town were doing. I could fill pages with my memories of the man I’m supposed to be very similar to ...

...of their own embarrassing moments, not those of others, and all the more hilarious they are for being self-confessed. Similarly, "Top 10 Drunken Moments", which has been the subject of 27 reviews and "Top 10 Bad Habits" with 22. Why go to church and run the risk of all those Hail Marys when you can just post a review on Ciao?
Nostalgia, far from being less than what it used to be, seems to be in the rudest of health. Leading topics here are "Top 10ThingsIMissaboutmyChildhood" (84) and "Top 10 School Memories" (38), but I have also included under this heading reviews on "10things that remind me of" particular decades. As an interesting aside, the 80s are leading in this sub-category with 17, followed by the 60s and 90s, each with 7, the 70s (6) and the 50s (3). No one has yet written about the 40s or earlier; hurry up with your...

...do not wish to see. Staring through the darkness, once banished, again reborn and strengthened in its resolve to diminish all that once was me. Fear of the emptiness inside, the part, torn and given free, wherein lies doubt, defeating silence and words unspoken, facing the coldness, braced, against the mournful wind and smashed beyond all saving, lying defeated, yet still unbroken, strength, fleeting, dying, bleeding, from wounds, too deep to heal, eternal is my suffering for death will not take me, her words will not soothe me, yet her touch, I long to feel.

...Tikaram
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Valentines Heart is one of my most personal songs even though I do love almost every track that Tanita Tikaram has recorded. For those of you that have not read my op on the 10thingsImiss most aboutmychildhood this song for me about a girl called Chloe who I lost on the Twelfth of February 1990 two days before Valentines Day. Since that day, over 12 years ago Valentines Day is a day that I have come to dread because I never feel more alone than I do on that day. It has only been a few years since I have been able to go to her grave but I always return on Valentines Day because I have never stopped loving her. The lines in the song that carry the most meaning are …
If I could have held you, once more in that light.
It’s nothing to you but it keeps me alive.
Like a Valentine’s Day.
It...
