These binoculars are made by DPS, quite an unknown make in the UK and Europe. For once though, this doesn’t mean that the binoculars are lower quality, as one may expect. These binoculars, which I purchased for longer distances, as they have a nice 10X Magnification and a wide 50mm Field of View, have and still do serve me well for long distances and field work.

The binoculars provide a good magnification and field of view for the price, and provide a nice sharp and bright picture. This is especially good for longer distances were detail is very helpful, or at low light, were a bright picture is needed. Coming back to the quality, it is of a very high standard and well made. These binoculars will last for quite a long time; although after a few bumps they show ever so slightly signs of weakness. This is to be expected though, and I am happy with the reliable focus and durability of the binoculars. Another nice feature is the belt-loop carry case and the neck string. This makes carrying them much easier and you can have them out without fear of breaking or losing them with the neck string on.

There are some negatives about this product however. The weight of the binoculars is quite high, so using them for long periods without a support, such as a tripod or the ground, could result in neck ache. Also, as with any optical device, using it continuously for long periods can lead to eyestrain and unfortunately these binoculars do not have any of the new lens that help prevent it slightly. This is quite a minor complaint however, as most people would not be looking through them long enough to develop eyestrain. Also, being a relatively unknown make means that replacement parts are hard to find, but the binoculars are well made,a nd shouldn't need any parts for quite a long time.

Overall, a nice pair of binoculars, especially for the price. They have a nice sharp image and although slightly heavy, come with a neck string and carry case to help you carry them.
