"And she's done it again!"

I'm sure everyone knows about Taylor Swift. Her songs are the ones that I never get tired of listening to, no matter how many times. Her roots have slowly turned from country to pop. I respect the fact that, as a songwriter, her songs are about her personal relationships and experiences. I think she is by far one of the best singer-songwriters we have right now.

Before fame:

Taylor started to show interest in musical theater at the age of nine years old and started performing in various productions and took vocal and acting classes. Then she turned to country music, therefore performing in places such as festivals, fairs and entering contests.

At the age of eleven, she and her mother began making frequent trips to Nashville to leave demos for music labels. Then, at fourteen, she persuaded her parents for them to move to Nashville permanently to pursue a musical career.

In 2005, when she caught the attention of Scott Borchetta, a DreamWorks Records executive who was planning on forming his own record label, Big Machine Records. Taylor Swift was one of the labels first signings. And since then, she has released five hit albums - Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, and her latest album, 1989.

1989 Track listing:

(Standard version)
This album is less country and far more pop-focused. Taylor Swift described it as her 'first documented official pop album' and it is really quite different from her other releases. She has written all the songs in this album based on personal experiences. It consists of two number one singles - Shake It Off and Blank Space, and the song Out of the Woods was in the US Billboard Top 20.

1. Welcome to New York
2. Blank Space
3. Style
4. Out of the Woods
5. All You Have to Do Was Stay
6. Shake It Off
7. I Wish You Would
8. Bad Blood
9. Wildest Dreams
10. How You Get the Girl
11. This Love
12. I Know Places
13. Clean

1989 is an exceptional album which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200. It became the highest sales week since 2002, made Taylor Swift the first artist to have three albums to sell a million copies in a week and became the best-selling album released in 2014. I highly recommend anyone to buy her music.
