"1989, though good, falls short of hype"

Get ready for an hour of 100% pop, loud, nonstop drums, and sharp sounding melodies. As a fan of earlier Taylor Swift albums like Fearless and Taylor Swift, I liked her country more than the endless pop that is 1989. Thus, in my opinion, all the songs on 1989 are mediocre or good at best, but not the take-your-breath-away country pop crossovers that songs like You Belong With Me and Enchanted were.

I didn't like Bad Blood, a stripped pop song with a weak melody and weaker lyrics, but Wildest Dreams and I Know Places were enjoyable songs due to their original melodies and strong lyrics. Overall, her lyric writing is excellent as ever, but melodies are a bit lacking in some songs.

Song list: Welcome to New York, Blank Space, Style, Out Of The Woods, All You Had To Do Was Stay, Shake It Off, I Wish You Would, Bad Blood, Wildest Dreams, How You Get The Girl, This Love, I Know Places, Clean

A good start but a bit more detail would be good.
