“One of the best mags”

published 14/07/2000

Real-life issues

Price

This is a brilliant magazine for older teens without being too "grown-up" and boring. There are often really good free products with it such as books and even flip-flops! The stories are both interesting and informative and are very relevant. 19 provides fictional short stories, advice pages...

19 magazine used to be at the vanguard of the new-look of women's magazines. Along with Honey it blazed a trail through the 1970s with fun and fashion and all sorts of articles so completely evocative of the anarchy in the publishing industry of the time. In other words it was exciting. And now...

Do you remember when, aged 11, the ultimate in rebellion was to buy Just 17? And a few years later, to progress to 19 safe in the knowledge that you wouldn’t be that old for ages and ages. That was me at least, but with this “rebellion” comes problems. I got hooked on an...

“NOT BAD”

published 14/08/2000

This has to be one of the best-put together female magazines on the market. Unlike most of the rest it is not full of big company advertisements. It contains some very good features along sides some very good real life stories. The beauty and fashion features are really well put together and make...

“Honest and Worth a Look”

published 19/03/2001

Covers lots of topics

Comes out once a month only

I bought my first copy of this last week, and was quite impressed. As an older teenage magazine it certainly fulfilled it's purpose to entertain and interest as well as manging to usefully inform too. My free gift was great too, -a gloss balm in a tin and a tinted one. They were both of generous...

“Definitely for 19 year olds”

published 12/07/2000

All the regular features

A bit young

This is your average woman's mag fodder. I'm annoyed that they still put a woman on the cover....we want men!! Still I suppose it's only men who read women's magazine's right? This is a very informative magazine for a mid-teen group, in spite of being called 19. It's a little bit childish...

“for 19 yr olds I think not”

published 24/02/2001

s'ok to read

bit boring

Just like lots of other magazines on the market nowadays, this one (which is apparently for women age 19+) is mostly read by those younger (any age from 14+)I've never seen a 19 year old with a copy of this magazine. In it, there's all the usual- horoscopes, pages of fasion etc. I hate the way...

“4 the mature teen age girl”

published 26/07/2000

lots to read and all v. interessting

alot of adverts

The thing I like most about 19 magazine is the fact that its aimed at the maturer older teenage girl (hence the name 19) and is full of pics of gorgeous "maturer" men like the wonderfully fine mr Jude Law and Ewan Mcgregor. It contains all the usual stuff like fashion, make up and love, and has a...

“very girly almost too girly”

published 06/12/2000

Cheap

unvaried content

It must be given that this magazine does have eye catching cover stories and some good articles but it name is misleading. Misleading because it suggests that this is what a about 19 yr old is interested in...I am 19 and no as Dec issue suggests I am not flirty, frisky and really at all...

Very informative.

It costs £2.10!!!

I think 19 is an inspirational magazine for young women. It provides 16-21 year olds with everything they need to know and how to make the most of their lives. The magazine is packed full if tips, tricks, and techniques for modern women of our society and is intiguing fresh and moves readers away...
