Allows you to search the database of all jobs in different categories using industry sector, ... ...quick to downlaod info.

This allows the user to store all the information they need from the site e.g. job searches, CV information, favourite articles etc.

This gives a small feature on a number of recruitment agencies who advertise on the site.

(1) Find a job Allows you to search the database of all jobs in different categories using industry sector, salary range, and location. Very easy to use and quick to downlaod info.
(2) myS1 This allows the user to store all the information they need from the site e.g. job searches, CV information, favourite articles etc.
(3) Companies This gives a small feature on a number of recruitment agencies who advertise on the site.
(4) Features Latest employment news in Scotland. Also it gives some real life stories from the workplace and how businesses are keeping Scotland in touch with employment opportunities.
(5) Get that job This section gives very useful information on job hunting, CV skills,Interview skills, reading the contract. All the information is downloadable (printer friendly) allowing you to keep it handy instead of reading it anew each time.
(6) Contact us Just what it says, but for those of you who don't know, it means 'click on this button and send us an e-mail'.
(7) Links Again, just as it says, but if you don'y know it means 'click on these buttons and we'll get referral money for pointing you towards another website'.
All in all an excellent site for all you Scots looking for job info, that includes me. And of course you don't have to be Scottish you could be English, Irish, Welsh whatever, however I do think it's wise if you stay in Scotland to apply for a job there (just a little job hunting tip for free there).
Advantages: Easy to navigate, good postings Disadvantages: Slow to load (but hopefully will improve in time)
region! This tool allows the user to choose across the Central Belt (Glasgow, Edinburgh), North East (Aberdeen, Dundee), Highlands and Islands (Inverness), Borders and South. This permits a more flexible search, which is beneficial for those interested in working in a specific area.
There is also a keyword section where the user can input words which are related to a job (c++, video, laser, etc) which will then narrow the search, should this be a requirement.
The above are those available from the "Quick Search". A more advanced search is available to allow the user to specify salary range, hours per week, etc. I would advise a quick search first to check the variety of work offered before using this tool.
Another nice facility of this site is to register with s1jobs.com who will then forward new postings to your email address ...

A far greater audience with additional viewers via iDTV, user freindly and cvs will only go to companies you personally request!
Search engine is currently being upgraded, some of the other advertised services of the site are still under development, minimal amount of jobs at pr (*)
