Full review
This is the electrifying first novel of a new series of books by the best selling author James Patterson.

Lindsay Boxer is the only female homicide inspetor in San Francisco and she has to be tough (even more difficult in her line of business). But what can prepare her for what she is about to uncover in the Honeymoon murders?

A killing spree begins by a brutal maniac, he slaughters newly wed couples, and Lindsay is the inspecting police person.

The deaths totally sicken her but her determination and hard work is threatened to bring this murderer to justice when a personal tradegy occurs.

She turns to Clare a coroner, Cindy a journalist and Jill a lawyer, for help with everything that is going on, hence the Women's Murder Club is born.

For those of you who want a snippet, here goes "The killer had imagined this moment, this exsquisite scene, so many times. "Congratulations" the killer muttered, handing over the champagne. He stared at the man in the open tuxedo shirt with a black tie dangling around his neck. The groom barely looked at him, as he inspected the brightly ribboned box. "Any card?" he said, fumbling in his pants pocket for a tip. "Only this sir," the killer stepped forward and plunged a knife deeply in the grooms chest. "For the man who has everything" he said.

I don't want to give too much away in this awesome book as the storyline is full of surprises and suspense. it really is one of those books that you quite simply must read.

The follow up, 2nd Chance is excellent too, so if you buy this book, make sure that you buy the 2nd book at the same time. This is the thing with James Patterson, in that when you have finished one of his books, unfortunately you have to wait for him to write his next one. If you are a late starter to JP, buy about half a dozen books at the same time, because honestly, once you start you quite simply won't be able to stop.

This book was published in 2001, I bought in hardback for about £10 from a book club, the front cover is purple with a photo of a newlywed couple, torn in half. Title and author are in bold gold.

JP writes in his usual manner, of short and snappy chapters, each chapter leaving you on an unimaginable cliff hanger which compels you to read on. James' style is wanting you to read on all the time, he doesn't want you to put the book down, but he doesn't miss anything either. His characters are described to the finest degree and you feel that you know them personally. When something bad happens to one of them, you feel it's happened to a family member......and that's the secret of a good writer.

Go on and buy it, and make sure you lend it out too, to get the JP fever continuing.
