"In the 2000 Olympics, Sydney the Great Britain swimming squad did not peform as well as most people would have hoped. The Americans and Australians, on the other hand dominated. This is because over here, in Britain swimming is not regarded highly as an exciting sport. Infact, as a swimmer myself, relays are fascinating to watch. "...for the GB team. However, the 2000 Sydney Olympics have finally given us a great Games & a medal tally the nation can be proud of. Great Britain won 11 gold medals, 10 silvers & 7 bronze medals. We even beat Romania in the final medal table !! It was the country's most successful Olympics since 1920 !!
