2006 FIFA World Cup (Xbox)

kits of the real thing, but the biggest surprise is that it actually improves upon the usual FIFA gameplay too. So if England does not win in real life, you can at least make sure they do in the virtual world. The lowdown:. In previous years, FIFA Word Cup games have meant little more than a cut down version of the existing FIFA game, however this version features not just the 32 teams from the finals but the chance to play as any of the other 95 countries from the qualifying rounds. There's even the option to replay historic World Cups - although only a handful of older players are included. In terms of gameplay things have been noticeably speeded up and there's even an alternative control system that exactly mimics rival Pro Evolution Soccer. PES fans will still be suspicious but this really is the best FIFA yet. Most exciting moment:Reliving the glory of 1966 with the current England team and then going on to do the same thing in this year's Cup as well!Since you ask:Many of the England team, including Wayne Rooney, claim to be video games fans and many have mentioned playing the FIFA games between real matches. The bottom line:A genuine improvement on FIFA 06 with the usual top notch EA presentation.Harrison Dent

Advantages: Improved control, skills, graphics replay ... everything?? Disadvantages: Manager mode too simple. Definitely a two player game. No friends - less fun!
...of you who havent played it before give it a go - i recommend a rental to try it out - give it a few hours and be creative! Personally I would say it is the best footbal game around (I have Fifa 03, Fifa 05, Fifa 06, Fifa Road to worldCup, Pro Evo 4, Pro Evo 5, Winning Eleven and Fifa knocks the *$£& out of all of them!
Although one player is fun, like all sports games, it loses its appeal. Ffia is all about two player gaming. Manager mode has helped to diversify types of play but this is still relatively simlpe and not that much different from doing a season....

...football game for the XBox 360 boys to release, however, if you are looking for a truely good game, I would wait a while til next seasons titles come out as this is not the best game available at the moment. Even the normal XBox titles are better than this one, the normal FIFA2006 being such an example. I give it 3 out of 5...

Advantages: Good Graphics, slick movement, good gameplay Disadvantages: limitted teams
...I recently purchased this game whilst caught up in the worldcup hype. I had played Fifa 2002 on the Playstation 2 and had been dispointed in its game play as it was very agrovating but was suprised that FifaWorldCup 2002 has been improved to make it much better. The game is very slick and the game play is alot easier although it is quite a bit different to the earlier Fifa games. All the teams in the WorldCup are included in the game and some of the best teams that didn't and if you can earn bonus teams by winning the worldcup. This is a very realistic game and you can make England the World Champions....

Firstly, lets just get all the bad things about this game out first because there are a lot of not so much issues with the game, more a lack of development. So with FIFA being probably the most popular football game ever, you would expect it to be... more
I have always been a FIFA fan but recently started taking an interest in PES. FIFA 08 on the PSP in my opinion is the best football game out there.
