300: March to Glory (PSP)

"THIS IS SPARTA!" the memorable quote shouted by king Leonidas when confronting the Persian messenger advising him to yield to the Persian king/"God" Xerxes army.

I purchased the 300 psp game because i loved the film immensely and was hoping game developers could scratch something pretty decent together. like al things the game 300 has it's ups and downs.

up's - nice graphics : the scenery in which your battles take place looks as realistic as possible for the PSP to cope with (looks great in the PSP's widescreen screen. (it is very satisfying when you see the blood spurt from your enemies)

Nice scenes - before battle your spartan army taunts the persians, unlike some games where you have rubbish voice overs that sound very unconvincing, 300 does a good job of portraying scene of battle for you.

Special abilities - with king Leonidas you can become 'blood drunk' where your screen turns red and you can do double damage on your opponents, the downside to this is that your opponents are often twice as hard to beat than normal.

downs - combat : this is very basic and simpleas you get 3 basic weapons (sword, spear and a shield) which are very basic to use and the way in which the characters move with the weapon is nothing special.

difficulty - some areas are exceptionally difficult to complete so only consider purchasing this if you are prepared to persevere.

You can buy the game very cheaply now for around £15 so if you need to thicken your PSP collection then this is a good game to add to your list.
