The xbox 360 wirelessadapter is essentially, exactly what it says on the tine, it is only required as a neccesity to get onto xbox live in a place usin a wireless network, microsfot have seized on this opportunity to charge over the odds for a small piece of plastic , retailing in the region of £60 , especially when you consider the nintendo Wii has a wirelessadapter built in. As a product, the adapter is easy to install, clipping onto the back of the console, reliable and discreet, offering flawless online gameplay as if it were connected via ethernet cable. If you enjoy playing online on your xbox 360 and your router is not easily accessible with wires then you should seriously consder getting yourself a wirelessadapter.
The Adapter cost around £50-£60 which I think is ridiculously over priced for what is simply a wirelessadapter which generally cost aroud £10, but seeing as it is the only option for wireless gaming on the Xbox 360 then if you really want wireless it is your only option.
The adapter was very easy to set up. You simply click it into place at the back of the Xbox 360 and plug the usb plug into the port, and adjust the aerial to face upwards for maximum range. i got one of these because i didn't want wires everywhere in our house. when i first put it in it wouldn'tt connect up to my wireless router(linksys). i called up a help line and they said that they had no idea how to fix it so i ended up having to buy a new one (netgear). with this it works well most of them time but if it doesn't always work. i think that may be down to the router but it may be the adapter. anyway it works most the time pretty well. i think it is ridiculously over priced thought. When i got it it was £60. but i needed it because i didn't want a load of wires around the house. i thnk they are fairly good and work most of the time but are over priced. ...
