3Com EtherLink III PC Card TP + Modem

Advantages: Small, sturdy and easy to use.
Disadvantages: Lack of drives and TV-Out

...This is a beauty! Bought this PC second handed as a replacement for my Thinkpad 240 (C300/192/12.0). This PC is based on the same concept, but is faster, has a larger screen (12.1'' in stead of 10.4'') - and has a few upgraded key features. As the TP 240 was able to hold a charge for ~6 hours when used for normal text writing, I was excited to see how long this baby would last. And as the battery was slightly used, I was amazed to learn that it lasts for more than 4 hours! Speedstepping and other features are of course the reason for this. The PC is nice to work with, the keyboard is a little smaller than that of a desktop PC, but it works great. It has - which the TP 240 didn't - an extra key, which enables me to use Danish keyboard setting (we have three more letters than e.g. English) - nice! As always with portable IBM PCs... Read review

...as lasting, after the installation and the installation what both rather quickly and simply went, to this day, had never to open my computer because of this card I it works faultlessly to this day. I use it for my small network, what consists of three computers or if friends come to the gamble to me. Up till now I didn't as said have any problems with it yet and I think I am also absolutely satisfied with their speed who already needs a 1000 Mbit card at home, then? Advantages: free mains adaptor, cheap, top quality
Disadvantages: none that spring to mind

...This is probably the best 4 port Hub i have found, Netgear are a top rated manufacturer up there with 3Com, Cisco and Intel, but they are suprisingly cheap! I have nocked up a network with a couple of Netgear cards and some from other manufacturers, it works perfectly with all of them. Key features *Includes mains adaptor (rather than relying on a 'keyboard wedge' adaptor with needs the pc its connected to to be switched on for the hub to work) *also comes with screws to attach it to a wall of desk (good for stopping people nicking it! *pretty small *lots of flashing lights (!) *can be linked to more hubs when your network grows *lifetime warranty *metal case (rock hard, can sit books on it!) *doddle to set up...
