...as lasting, after the installation and the installation what both rather quickly and simply went, to this day, had never to open my computer because of this card I it works faultlessly to this day.
I use it for my small network, what consists of three computers or if friends come to the gamble to me.
Up till now I didn't as said have any problems with it yet and I think I am also absolutely satisfied with their speed who already needs a 1000 Mbit card at home, then?
So nothing bad gives to report, I have used it for my DSL once a while, too and it worked and harmonized faultlessly also there, I really only can recommend it if spare one extra card, one of the good manufacturer 3COM then.

Advantages: Pay more, get a great product Disadvantages: Well you have to pay more!
...I brought this 1800xl because of the 15inch display, 12gb hdd and 500mhz pentium 3.
Its great, the dvd playback is stunning, the display is massive, and the internal 100mbit network card is very handy.
Three points to remember with compaq products.
1) The older models do not compare with the newer models, remember the newer models have atx motherboards.
2) Even my laptop is upgradable, the cpu is a standard chip used by most manufactures like gateway etc!!
3) The bottom of the line models are a bit slow and pants, such as the 1200xl with its amd processor and HPA display, but pay a little extra for tft display's and more memory and they are great!...

...Picture the scene. My friends and I (note the good English!) have just finished our A-levels, and have about 3 months free to have some fun. One of your friends parents go away, and he decides to have a party. But this is no normal party, this is a network party!
It may sound a little sad to most people, but it's actually quite a lot of fun. Computer games you see, that's the reason! A lot of the computer game doubters say that they are an anti-social affair, but that could not be further from the truth. Computer games are better when played with or against another person, but unfortunately for us PC gamers the chance to do this is not all that common. The internet does allow you to play against others, but the slow speed of a normal 56K modem limits the type of game you can play, and the speed at which you can play it. The answer lies...
