This Faxmodem is from the old school of 56k dial up through your phone line. This particular model I think is the best that 3com has to offer.

It is very easy to setup. You do not even need the installation cd to install even under Windows 98. It will quite happily be used as a standard modem with no problems.

However if you want the extra features then you can use the installation cd and get loads of extras. It will install all the drivers you need for the 56k U.S. Robotics Faxmodem. In this it will install the software you require to use your modem as a fax machine. A good feature I think.
