Advantages: Easy to install, Works well, reliable Disadvantages: Expensive
If you enjoy playing online on your xbox 360 and your router is not easily accessible with wires then you should seriously consder getting yourself a wirelessadapter.
The Adapter cost around £50-£60 which I think is ridiculously over priced for what is simply a wirelessadapter which generally cost aroud £10, but seeing as it is the only option for wireless gaming on the Xbox 360 then if you really want wireless it is your only option.
The adapter was very easy to set up. You simply click it into place at the back of the Xbox 360 and plug the usb plug into the port, and adjust the aerial to face upwards for maximum range. Once you have the adapter in place and plugged in, when you turn on your xbox you will be greeted with a message asking you if you want to configure your wireless device to a network. Clicking 'yes' will bring ...
Advantages: Does exactly what is required of it Disadvantages: too expensive
The xbox 360 wirelessadapter is essentially, exactly what it says on the tine, it is only required as a neccesity to get onto xbox live in a place usin a wirelessnetwork, microsfot have seized on this opportunity to charge over the odds for a small piece of plastic , retailing in the region of £60 , especially when you consider the nintendo Wii has a wirelessadapter built in. As a product, the adapter is easy to install, clipping onto the back of the console, reliable and discreet, offering flawless online gameplay as if it were connected via ethernet cable. The only downside to this is the price and i for one feel it should be included in the console package to fully compete with other consoles ...
Advantages: makes connecting to live wireless Disadvantages: very high price
i bought this for £50 second hand, and i found it very easy to use and it connected to my modem in minutes, but i know not everyone connects it as easy as i did, infact i couldnt connect it to my old router when i first got an xbox 360, so then i went for the ethernet cable method which is ideal if the router is in the same room as the xbox 360 because its much cheaper, gauranteed to work and normally makes connection better, but in my case i had a 30m ethernet cable running down my stairs which is not ideal! therefore when i bought my xbox 360 back i wanted to get it sorted with the networkadapter.
THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THE ADAPTER:
its a easy method of connecting up to xbox live if it will connect to the router
its small and as a nice slot at the back of the xbox 360
theres a light which is green if its working and red if its ...
