I had get one of the wireless adapters for my laptop. I could either go for the pcmia slot, or the usb slot. I opted for the usb version because i could then use it other desktop computers as well. I bought this one for 15 quid and didn't research how good it is before. I had to install the driver and software and then plug it in... and that's it. the internet was working. I tried it with a zoom router and with a belkin router. I use it on the first ... .... The signal strenght is 60(the software shows all the details of the link quality) but sometimes it flactuates with no obvious reasons. Sometimes the connection drops; when the signal strenght goes down to 40. After a long use, the adaptor gets hot, and cannot say whether it is common or not.
The fact that it bulges out from the outside is quite irritating. I have to be carefull when using the laptop on the bed. Overall, it is a very good cheap ...
