Triprotocol ROMs allow a client PC loaded with a 3Com Ethernet network adapter card to be booted and centrally managed by a network server. The ROMs are installed in the card's boot ROM socket and provide NetWare, RPL, and BootP Central Boot as well as McAfee RomShield Anti-Virus for continual protection from boot viruses. All ROMs are updatable to allow users to upgrade firmware without replacing the ROM.
Advantages: Reliable Disadvantages: Nothing special
