...and so was the rest of my family. I switched OFF the NTL Modem for 5 minutes, in order to make it forget my computer, connected the Ethernet cable to the WAN port on the 3Comrouter, my family computers (3) to the built in Switch on the 3comrouter and mine as well.
Started the NTL Cable Modem, Started the 3Comrouter, started our computers, and BOOM, all were able to go to the Web, not even a single configuration on the router was needed.
Sure you can configure it, it has a great wizard, but by default, it was made to work with Dynamic connections and it was love from 1st site.
I have seen my neighbours buying DLink, Netgear, and many others; they all needed a bit of configuration 1st. But not the 3comrouter, it is now my favourite hardware manufacturer, as it apparently cares about the ease of use.

...– if it does the job.
3Com have helpfully given this device a name which describes what it does – it contains two independent 56K modems and attaches to your LAN. There is a 4 port 10Mb/s ethernet hub built in, together with analog pass through ports for the telephone lines.

...to waste time in configuring every computer or reading a manual from beginning to end.
The Belkin 4 portrouter is really good for sharing (distributing) an internet connection between a number of computers. As its plug and play you connect each computer’s network card into the back of the router (using RJ-45 type cables – they look like telephone cables but double the size), after that is accomplished the router would specify an internal ip address (numbers such as 192.168.200.1 to specify each computers identity) to each of those computers.
As the Belkin router’s protocol default settings are to allow any one with that ip address to share the internet connection it does.
As soon as each computer is connected to the router (Pc or Mac Network card to the LAN(Local Area Network) port in the router), the broadband modem (DSL...
