Imation SuperDisk LS-120 (SuperDisk) drive 120 MB

Advantages: Cheap (especially S/H), reliable, durable, common
Disadvantages: Capacity, Parallel version is not as portable as USB

...I am the proud owner of a second-hand Zip 100 (external parallel port). Although I did get the software with it, I had to get the latest Win 2000 drivers from the Internet. The reason I bought the Zip drive is because my internal LS120 Superdisk had stopped working after about 30 months usage. The drive is connected between my computer and printer, which makes removal more difficult than the USB version although this is not a problem for me as I rarely use the drive outside my home. Although 100Mb is fairly small these days, it is more than enough for me to store all of my important irreplacable documents on and the media is cheap enough to allow for multiple back-up copies. Advantages: good portable storage
Disadvantages: bit expensive compared to a cd writer and media
