I bought a 3 phone as soon as they came out. They looked exciting, new and innovative. They promised to be cheap, they promised that their network would cover my area and they promised that they would be what you expect from a mobile phone company - helpful.

APPAULING CUSTOMER SERVICE
I phoned up customer services, the first time, with in an hour of getting my phone because it wasn't connected to the network.

I waited 3/4 of an hour.

I then spoke to someone, very unapologetic about my wait, who told me it would connect with in 48 hours. I was told originally that connection was immediate.

I phoned up two weeks after this to change my address...

And again to change my address...

And again to change my address...

Not because I had moved all these times - but because it had never been changed the times before.

Customer service at Three is based in Scotland, and India and Tywan I think. Unsuprisingly those not based in the UK are not brilliant English speakers and have little idea of where anywhere in the UK is. The 4th time I tried to change my address (by which time I had been cut off for not paying a bill that I haven’t received!) I told the gentleman my address - spelling out the bits in Welsh - and he then asked where this was. "South Wales" I replied... "New South Wales?" He replied! At this point I was rather frustrated and politely asked to talk to someone in Scotland. He hung up!
But at last my Address was changed.

APPAULING NETWORK
Everyone knows by now that three's network is not the best, but every mobile company has their down areas, until technology improves this is going to be the case. However Three promised that they covered my area for voice and for video calls. If standing on one leg with your ear to the window holding your phone near the ceiling is coverage - then yes - they did!

AND THEN THE PHONE DIES
Despite paying the bills, the phone wasn't doing anything. Not even telling me there was no network. It wouldn't even charge! So I phoned customer services, and kept phoning them and hanging up until I got through to Scotland. I told them the situation and they said that there was nothing they could do about it I would have to take it back to the shop...I took it back to the shop they said that there was nothing that they could do about it I would have to phone Three etc etc!

Well - to cut a long story short I did eventually get a new phone - none of the numbers stored on it were retrieved, but I had a phone.

Now - I don't use it - in fact I'm not even sure where it is! I can't be bothered with a company who clearly don't care for their customers.
