4 head is a natural remedy without pills. Each pack contains enough for more than 100 applications so although 4head is £5.95 if you think what you are saving on tablets it does offer good value for money. I would say that 4head is good to use if you haven't got a major headache, but I have found that it stings a bit. I have used 4head quite often during my pregnancy though I find that paracetamol tablets are more effective.

4head is great if you have problems swallowing tablets or pills. Also you don't need food or drink like you do taking tablets and because of this 4head is good to use whilst on the go. The package is small enough to fit in your handbag or pocket so easy to take out with you and use whenever you need to. 4head is a little white stick with a pink label. You can apply this whenever you need to unlike tablets. 4head is none greasy so it doesn't mess up your make up which is good. It is also colourless. The way you apply this is by wiping the surface of the stick gently across your forehead. As this cream is directly applied onto your forehead as the name suggests it gets straight to work where the pain is.

I like the way this cream is in a nicely sized retractable stick dispenser. I would say it is about the size of a lipstick. Using 4head does not cause side effects like some painkillers do so you won't be drowsy or sickly.

Adults, elderly and children can use this although it is advised to discuss any persistent headache with your doctor as this can be the sign of something else.

How does 4head work?

4head has a natural ingredient in it called, levomenthol, which can relax local blood vessels, causing a sensation of coldness or tingling followed by an analgesic effect (pain relief). The tingling is the effect that I do not like and I would call it more of a sting actually although unpleasant it is this that is thought to lead to a reduction in sensitivity to pain signals. Levomenthol is also thought to help to relax the muscles in the head and the neck which are often associated with tension headaches. Every stick contains 3.6 g of the active ingredient Levomenthol. Levomenthol, is extracted from Mentha Piperita it is a harmless natural form of mint

I get headaches quite often sometimes as often as every day. With being pregnant I cannot take strong pain killers so often what I do is combine 4head with paracetamol and it does help. There is no evidence that 4head is harmful for use during pregnancy or lactation and with it being natural it is less harmful than taking tablets for pain. I was quite sceptical that it would work at first and didn't want to pay £5.95 for nothing. However, although not wonderful I was pleasantly surprised at it's effectiveness. Another good thing about this is that unlike tablets you don't have to wait a long time to be able to use it again. Obviously you can over use it, but it's quite difficult to plus you don't want to use it that often because it stings. It is advised not to use too much because this can cause too much of a skin sensation. Also it works quite quickly and much quicker than tablets because it doesn't need to be absorbed by the blood stream.

Always replace the cap after use. Store 4head away from sources of heat, where children cannot see or reach it. This product should not be used after the expiry date shown on the dispenser label.

4head is available from the following stores: Boots, ASDA, Sainsburys, Superdrug, Morrisons, Lloyds Pharmacy, independent pharmacies and other stores.

In conclusion if you are looking for a way to treat your headaches without having to use tablets then I would definitely recommend you trying this. This shouldn't be used if you have very sensitive skin or are allergic to Levomenthol.

I get lots of headaches, so when my Mum bought this for me I immediately gave it a try. I thinks it's great, and I quite like the stinging sensation (weird I know). Great for everyday (muzzy heads!!) but not for a more serious one., Great review. x
