Advantages: Reliable Reliable Reliable Disadvantages: Not the cheapest out there
...I have been using this type of CDR media since I first got a CD-R drive. A bulk purchase of this type of CD-R media was made when the CD-R drive was bought. Frankly I feel te media is what you would expect from a quality name like verbatim. These CD-R's are very reliable. In the numerous burns that I have done using this media I have never had a single problem.
As you would also expect from a name like verbatim the price is a little higher than other options out there.
I would certainly recommend this type of CDR media to anyone who wishs to make CD's of important data that you want good reliability on....

Advantages: Reliable and fairly cheap Disadvantages: None I can think of
...I came across this type of CDR when I once again offered to burn a few CD for a mate if he provided the blank CDR's. After my experience with the BTC CDR media (see other review) I was cautious of this media as this mate also picked it up cheap in town. I was however pleasantly suprised by this media. I achieved 100% success in burning the CD's and since then the discs have remained perfectly reliable. Since then the burnt CD's have remained perfectly reliable. The only one i've lost is kinda my fault for landing a heavy object on it from a great height.
I would recommend this type of CDR to anyone as a reliable inexpensive option - especially for an 80min CDR. Probably a best buy out of the CDR's that I have actually used....

Advantages: Blank Cd's, On A Spindle, Diffrent Colour Scheme, Low Cost Disadvantages: No Jewel Cases,
...Cdr’s are so abundant now-a-day’s. Every time I go into a computer shop I see them covering a shelf in packs of 5, 10, 15,20…. well anything up to 250 I’ve seen. When I need cdr’s I tend to go for packs of 100, but these usually come in 74 mins (650Mb).
But there comes a point in a persons life where 74min cdr’s aren’t enough and you need something special…something like a 80min (700Mb) cdr. Well fear not Memorex have the perfect cdr’s for the job. These are Cd-r's not Cd+r's.
They come in packs of 25, which is great because most cdr’s I use only require the bulk purchased 74min cdr’s. They come on a spindle which reduced the price you have to pay because some other cdr’s that come in jewel cases cost that little bit more. The spindle doesn’t bother me because it allows me to separate the Memorex cdr’s from the other cdr’s. But you...

I brought this discs for about £6 or £7, assuming they would work fine... BUT, 3 computers would only read them as about 90mb, what's going on here? All drivers up to date etc. So, they were just led on a shelf doing nothing for ages... Then, when I... more
