My working days are spent staring at a computer screen and as I like to have the window blinds open, and the infra-red stitched fluorescent lights can't be turned off my screen often has a fair amount of glare on it. As a result I often get headaches, although for some reason they come in bouts - I'll not have one for ages, then I'll have one every day for a week.
The headaches seem to vary in intensity, from just a mild muzziness which is clear with some paracetamol, to almost migraine types which just wipe me out. Generally I am don't mind taking tablets, but sometimes I have run out or the pills just won't shift it, so having seen the TV advert I thought I would give 4head a go.
4head comes as a stick (think of the lipsalve type stick by about 2 / 2.5 times the diameter and half the height). After removing the cap and twisting the bottom to elevate the white, waxy type stick, you apply thinly to the forehead area.
The stick contains and smells strongly of menthol (or levomenthol to be precise), the same substance that is use to relieve that bunged up feeling you have with a cold. This clearing effect seems to provide some relief even before applying the 4head, one applied you forehead is left feeling cooled and soothed.
For me, just a minute or so the headache generally starts to ease, however if my headache is extreme I do have to take some paracetamol to finally get rid of it.
4head is not cheap, at between £5 and £6.50 (but this should last quite a while) and as mentioned above it doesn't always work on its own. However for me it is handy to have in case there are no pills to hand.
taining:Levomenthol 10 %w/wDosage:Adults and the elderly: apply to the forehead, back of neck or temples, ensuring the applicstion site is dry. Children: not recommended.

I've always wondered whether this was any good or not. - Ang.
