Hello! Well I have been off this site for a while now but I decided to get back into it. This review is about the station rockfm and is now owned by a group called bauer who own a lot and can pile a lot of money into the station. Which is the primary reason why its so popular.

*-*-* The Presenters *-*-*

Adam@Breakfast - Im sure if you have listened to rock that you have heard Adam you can catch him Monday to Friday, 6 - 10am with producer Ross and Gemma Dee, these are a group of people that like to have a laugh and do it well on air. People enjoy Adams Lancashire humour and it goes in well. Adam also does 'Adams Sunday Service' on Sundays and if you listen in here you can find out whats been happening in the week on Adam@Breakfast.
Adam, Gemma and Ross do a lot of charity work aswell for rockfms local charity cash for kids which was previously called help a local child, for example Adam and Gemma ran the London marathon and even more recently they done the 'Breakfast Breakout' where Adam was locked up in Debenhams in Blackburn and Gemma was locked in DB3 in Preston both in separate windows and they weren't allowed out until they raised £10000 each for the charity and I think they were in about 6 days and they had to do different challenges and it made really good radio and in the process Gemma Dees boyfriend Shaun Ray proposed in the window and she said yes.

Paul Webster - Paul has been at rock for a while now and is in charge of making the shifts. He does the mid morning show and kicks off with the top 10 at 10 where he plays ten songs from one year and you have to phone in or text with the year its only a bit of fun but you normally end up being one or two years out. Paul also kicks off Club Rock Saturdays from 6pm. He took over from El Greggo and still does a fantastic job at it.

Mark Kaye - He has been at rock for a long while now and used to cover peoples shifts until Rick Vaughn left (hes gone off to Dubai) and he got the home run which is a very important show on rock as its when a lot of people listen and he has such features as 'School of the day' 'Double Shot' 'Tea time teaser' as well as regular traffic reports, he's a good presenter and 90% of the time picks up the phone and so you can have a chat with him.

Rich and Luce - They present a show called in demand and you can catch them Monday - Thursday from 7 and they normally have a few decent guests on their show, the problem is this isn't actually broadcast at rock its from key 103 in Manchester and goes out to all the big city stations such as Key, rock, city in Liverpool, Hallam, Viking. I wouldn't get in contact with this show in my opinion because it costs too much money. These do have some decent features aswell though such as the 7 at 7, that's where they play 7 of the days most popular songs from the airtime. And text wars where they preview new releases.

Danny Bee - Danny is probably the oldest presenters on rock he has been there and done wishfm also. He presents the late night show and also Breakfast on Saturdays, he also had the show 'the bird and the bee' he's basically your mate on the radio so make sure you tune into him. He has features such as the continuity call, survey of life, the bedroom session.

Nicksy - You can catch him 2am - 6am and to be honest with you I only listen to him occasionally but hes like Dom he covers this shift on the weekends and again its networked and broadcast from Manchester.

Johnny Collins or JC - One of the youngest presenters at rock at the age of 23 he presents Saturdays 2 - 6pm along with Vicky Warham at the moment they are broadcasting from the pleasure beach in Blackpool but they have a laugh and it's a really good show to listen to.

Hywel and Jamie - These 2 are some of the funniest guys on radio along with Australia you can catch them 10pm - 2am on weekdays, I really think you should give these a listen, they also work on kerrang radio and key 103.

They are the main presenters at rock and they all are a good listen, there are other shows that are on that I cant really comment on because I don't really listen to such as the retro countdown with Rob Charles from rocks sister station Magic 999. That's on Sunday mornings, Sunday Nights is Baz Todd who is the old skool genius and DJs around Southport and Preston like Mark Freejack and floorfillers he DJs in liquid in Wigan.

Rockfm has its famous rockfm media bus which goes round doing workshops to schools and summer fairs etc. I am the rockfm bus DJ and come and present at summer fairs with them so if you see me come and say hello! Its reallygood fun and gets the children into media with the apple imacs on board and they can try there hands at DJing with me.

You may find the presenters out doing a charity gig once a year as its in their contract to do so. JC done his in the Richmond this week with me which was great fun and enjoyed it a lot.

If you want to get in contact with the shows just give the studio a ring on 01772 900974 or text them 63103 start your message with rock. Or go online at www.rockfm.co.uk
