I must mention, that I own the BF of this mouse. Its basically the same, but has different "skin".

Now, of the mouse itself. As it is a gamer mouse, it has a wire. And that wire is thin, so watch out for yanking it.

...feature is the driver. Called A4Tech Smart-X7 7.80, it provides the functions mentioned above. The others are manuals, troubleshooters and a mouse testing program. It is very helpful, if you cycle through many mice.

After the first 5 minutes playing CS, I experienced a huge advantage.

Now, of the mouse itself. As it is a gamer mouse, it has a wire. And that wire is thin, so watch out for yanking it.
But the mouse works. And amazingly well.
Just take it out of the box and hook it up to your computer. It will work almost instantly. And no drivers are required.

If you wish to customize your mouse, eg make it more sensitive, give other commands for the buttons, then the small CD, that comes with it provides many features. The main feature is the driver. The stepping sensitivity interface is very useful. It allows to use different strategies without pausing the game. But the stepping only occurs in one direction, eg going from 600-800-1200 etc, but not back.
It can mean valuable fraction seconds and losing in the end.
But most of the time, I used the 1200 sensitivity. Its more than enough and not too fast.
And there is the "doubleclick" button, which, on the X7, allows to fire a group of 3 bullets at a time. It affects huge amount of precision and greatly advanced my gameplay.

And now comes the best part. Rigidity. This mouse is very solid and precisely made. Only the sensitivity stepping button is a bit twitchy.
The BF version has a "snake skin" styling, but it uses the same rubber compound as any other X718 mouse. And it has very good grip, well thought out placement and pleasant weight. Although the scrollwheel might seem a bit too solid for some, I got used to very fast and now it doesn't bother me.

As i do much surfing on the web, I find the browsing buttons on the side especially useful. Never again, I must use the back and forward buttons on the browser.

And you know, what is the best part of this mouse. I got it for 16.80 pounds.

So, overall, this mouse is sensational. This is, I can say, the ultimate bang for the buck, and it looks so cool...

I strongly recommend this mouse for your first gamer mouse.
