Advantages: Smart Design, Attractive, Long Battery Life Disadvantages: No optical mouse, rather large reciever
Since i've had this keyboard and mouse, my life has been much simpler. Like i say with the subject, its so good i can write this review lying on my bed.....
I firstly have to point out that I don't use the mouse for general use, as i'd preferred it to be optical for all the online gaming I do.
Looks:
Keyboard: The keyboard looks and feels great. It is set out in a comfortable manner, and has a nice curved ... ...(Grey and Blue) but work well together. The keyboard is well designed, and basically does exactly what a keyboard is supposed to do..........work.
Mouse: The mouse seems to use a different colour scheme to the keyboard, coming across more blue than grey. It looks stylish, and fits well into the hand. It has a small wheel in between the two buttons, which also doubles as a thrid button.

I firstly have to point out that I don't use the mouse for general use, as i'd preferred it to be optical for all the online gaming I do.
Looks:
Keyboard: The keyboard looks and feels great. It is set out in a comfortable manner, and has a nice curved shape to the top. The colours used are rather plain (Grey and Blue) but work well together.
Functionality:
Keyboard: The keyboard is very easy to use, and the buttons are a mix between soft touch and.......whatever the other one is (sorry, can't remember its name), Which is nice. The keyboard has many function buttons situated at the top of the keyboard. These can be configured to Operate Windows media player, Microsoft office and basically any other program thinkable (With software installed). There are also buttons for opening your hompage, and reading your e-mail, which is a nice addition.
Mouse: The mouse works basically like your bog standard mouse, no added features or hidden buttons anywhere. I found it rather sluggish, so no good for you gamers out there (like me), and sometimes the ball gets stuck due to dust. I found that when i first used it (Before i switched to an optical) i had to clean it frequently.
Setbacks:
In general, i found that when first using the keyboard with fresh batteries, the reciever could pick up the signals even when i was outside in my garden, which is about 10 metres away and through about 3 walls. Although this distance has now withered to a mere metre, or maybe a little more, which is fine for normal use. Also, (Due to my own fault) i find that i get alot of food/hair/dust underneath my keys. it doesn't make too much o f a difference, as there is a small tray underneath, which means this doesn't get into the main part of the keyboard. All you need to do to clean it out is remove the keys, and give it a shake (make sure you have a spare keybaord handy as a reference for putting the keys back in).
Like i say, I don't use my mouse at all, mainly because i prefer an optical, and the mouse is ball operated. Saying that, the mouse did do that job, so it isn't much of a setback.
Software: The mouse and keyboard came with software to install, although this is not required to operate the mouse/keyboard. The software makes it possible to program the buttons on the keyboard, and get more out of the product. One problem with the software is that it over-rides the normal windows drivers for the mouse and keyboard, which can upset some programs. I found during my games, it made moving forward 'jumpy', so all i needed to do was un-install the software, and problem solved.
Reciever: Both wireless devices are radio controlled, and therefore have a longer range than the older infra red devices. The one setback of this is that the reciever is slightly larger than would be liked, athough is designed to be discreet. It contains two switches to change the channels of the mouse/keyboard incase there are more than just one radio device in the area (This is fully explained in the manual), and also has four LED light which show when the wireless devices are being used (Keys pressed, mouse moved etc), and also when the caps lock, scroll lock and num lock buttons are active.
The reciever has a cable which split into two wires, one for the mouse and one for keybaord which insert into the PS/2 ports on your computer (Standard mouse and keyboard ports). This is handy for when you want to only use one of the wireless devices (Like me), as you just need to insert the appropriate wire.
Overall, the product is well designed, looks good, funtions well, and is good value for money (around £30). Its well worth a look at...
Advantages: All round High Quality Disadvantages: Haven't found any yet!
I have always been rather schheptical of wireless technology, especially of something as fundemental as the keyboard or mouse. I play games regularly and I always believed there to be a problem of response times with wireless technology. This schepticism has quite clearly been cleared away with this product. There is no sign of any delay whatsoever--I can relax and play my games without worrying that my mouse won't keep up! I have had very little ... ...with litterally tens of thousands words under its belt, I can honestly say that i have had absolutely no problem with this keyboard. I have had absolutely no wrist ache using it, even after multi-hour typing sessions, it has still remained comfortable, most probably due to the ingenious designed layout of the keys. the A-shape is superb, and surprisingly easy to use.
I've had the pair of devices for a few months now, and I really have had nothing ...

Advantages: No Wires, Good batt life Disadvantages: sometimes looses the mouse
I bought 6 of these to go in my office and every single one is still working today.
there is no interference as the provided software reconises each mouse and keyboard has its own id code and allows more than 1 on each channel.
The comfort level is quite good as mine came with the wrist rests. the mouse fits easily in your hand and is also very comfy.
its even got a little whole to put your pen in while your typing.
They are great in the office ... ...it when you need to do paperwork.
A4 tech also sell a version with recargable batteries that charge in the wireless receiver.
They are very responsive and for quick typing office staff they can keep up fine.
This Keyboard/Mouse Combo is well worth it. take a look at DABS.COM for alot of their stuff (its all in the dabs value section).
Price is great coming out cheaper that all wireless combo packs i have seen. ...
