I had my first practical test yesterday and was convinced i would not pass! I can drive well but struggled on m,y manouveres big time! I used to read all your experiences everyday and found comfort in them(even though most of you had failed!)............well guess wot.............I PASSED! only got 3 minors! although reading all your experiences helped i think praying to god helped too! i dont know how religious any of you are but im telling you i have never carried out a reverse park and reverse around the corner so perfectly and back to back, i always mess them up 100 times! I think someone was defo helping me because i was amazed at wot ease i was able to do them. Advantages: It helps with the theory test and lets you sit mock exams Disadvantages: the hazard perception disc only has 50 different videos on it.
out of 5 depending on how quick you reacted and the video was shown again but this time there was a red bar at the bottom of the screen to show you when the hazard was happening and basically if you had clicked the mouse when the bar first appeared you would have scored 5 but the longer you leave it the score drops.
Afterwards I felt I knew what was required for this test so I opted for the mock test, I was shown 14 random video clips and at the end I was given both of my scores for the Theory and Hazard tests.
I found these extremely helpful as I now knew what to expect when I went for my test.
It was the best thing my instructor had given me as I now knew what the expectations were for passing the tests and I had also had a dummy run at it so there was not going to be any surprises for me on the day. Needless to say I passed ...
