Advantages: Makes defragmentation a painless process. Disadvantages: It's not free, but it is cheap.
...graphs of the fragments eliminated and this section is rather reassuring and even to me shows that the program is actually achieving something.
What I also like about the program is that its designed in such a way as to give the user choice. You can manually defrag at any time you wish to, or you can "set it and forget it", and here it was easy to set up so that the defragmentation takes place every day, and runs in the background whilst I work on others things. So far, I would say that I have not noticed a difference in speed of my computer at all whilst defrag is taking place and this is marvellous.

Advantages: Brilliant with typescripts Disadvantages: upgrade to v6 too expensive
...I scan and OCR a lot of typed manuscripts and old typewritten magazines, and for years I've dispaired of ever finding software which can do a good OCR job. Surely if it could cope with lots of different alphabets, as promised, it could cope with a typewriter!
I downloaded the free trial, and found it was brilliant, so I rushed down to PC World before they sold out. I've been using it for months now, and wouldn't go back to anything else - it's every bit as good with proportional fonts. I'm really amazed how accurate it is...

Advantages: Easy booting, less crashes, much faster and yes user friendly Disadvantages: Dual boot becomes a problem
...all the OS is very software friendly.
Even system crashes is far less frequent with Windows XP Professional. It has overcome the unfriendly interface woes of Windows 2000.
The best of it is that disk partitioning and formatting the HD has become much more easier with XP which means in case your OS gives you problem, even a reasonably eloquent user can reload or even format or partition the hard disk just by reading the massages properly, in fact the option for formatting individual drives are there. The backup option is great. Create a back up of your files and remove all the partitions then format and recreate your disk partitions to your requirements.
I think it's one of the safest OS when you're online with continuos software and security updates from Microsoft, it's avisable to upgrade the ie to ie 8 for best surfing experince. To my...
