...Abit KA7-100 is the new updated version of the motherboard which i have just bought. Extras now included support up to 8 ide devices. which use the ultra ata/100, or ultra DMA/100, is the extension of the ultra ata/66 interface. The high speed interface has a 100 MBYTES/sec transfer rate and maxmimized disk proformance under the current PCI local bus environment
I would also liked to add that the ABIT web site is very helpful and even a novice would be abe able to fit this motherboard with the help of the best manual of any motherboardi have ever bought
EXCELLANT PRODUCT...

Advantages: All new features, possibility of use all Intel Socket 370 CPU's, built-in quality sound Disadvantages: none
...This new motherboard from ABIT support both Intel Celeron and Pentium III FCPGA (Coppermine) processors. Based on VIA Appolo Pro 133A chipset, this ATX formfactor motherboard have 1 AGP 4x, 5 PCI and 1 ISA slots. Also equipped with Yamaha sound chip with software midi syntesizer and 2 IDE IDMA/66 ports.
I bought this motherboard week ago and very pleased by its design, quality and performance. Very good for overclocking and stable in any Windows applications (both Me and 2000). My Celeron 400 MHz work at 500 Mhz (83MHZx6) without any problems also in games like Need for Speed 5 and Unreal Tournament.
So, this mainboard include all new features and is the best choice for home use (especially due to possibility of CPU's upgrade up to 1GHz)....

Advantages: Excellent for Overclocking Disadvantages: Needed a bios update
...I recently purchased the ABIT AV8 3rd EYE Motherboard and an Athlon 64 - 3000 (Winchester core) Processor.
I purchased the ABITMotherboard due to the fact my last motherboard was ABIT and I was totally satisfied with it.
When I got the AV8 set it all up with the new processor, I was let down because it did not work. As the processor was the latest version, the motherboard was unable to identify it, thus would not work. After purchasing a new bios chip for the board it fired up straight away.
So i installed windows and away i went.
I was totally amazed with the speed of the system and was so in awe of the new 3rd eye display.
For those of you who don't know, the 3rd eye is an LCD display which is attached directly to the motherboard. It is run by a seperate processor on the motherboard, and can monitor upto 5 fans (connected...
