To complete a 5.1 surround sound set up of a very high quality we recommend the Center speaker. It´s components are identical to those found in the Pencil, so it fits very well with both the Compact and the Pencil speaker to build an ideally matched surround system.
Advantages: very cheap for such a packed machine Disadvantages: well its cheap...

A solid player Review ofRio Karma 20 20 GB Black, Light greyby
zim2411
Advantages: A true audiophile's player Disadvantages: It's rather out dated by today's standards
...The Rio Karma is a solid, high quality digital audio player (DAP). It features MP3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, and WMA playback. Ogg and FLAC are the formats of choice for myself. FLAC is lossless audio, while Ogg is basically a much more advanced version of MP3, which also allows gapless playback, something the Karma excels at.
The Karma's menu system is intuitive and easy to use thanks to it's scroll wheel and center joystick. You have several ways to find what you want to listen to, or you could have the player chose for you thanks to the included Rio DJ software. The Karma has a customizable 5 band equalizer, which allows for great control over how your headphones sound. You can even edit playlists on the fly.
In my experience, the Karma has proven itself as a sturdy well built player. It has withstood much abuse and runs smoothly...

Advantages: Great sound and replaces so much in the home audio visual world Disadvantages: lack of inputs and speaker cable length.
...fold!
My house is like the Sony Shop. Sony Widescreen, Sony Stacking Stereo with CD, Dual Tape and Audio/Video Control Center Amp with a built in Tuner. Add to this the Playstation 2 and Sony Video and you have the complete set!
However, you will notice, one household item missing.....NO DVD!
Enter the Sony DAV-100. This is one clever device. Not only is is a Surround Sound audio system, it is also a DVD/CD player. Thanks to the built in DVD drive, you can sit back, hook up your TV and watch your favourite movies with things going all around you in finest 5:1 surround sound.
Hang on Andy, explain what you mean by 5:1 surround sound?
Well, basically, you get 6 separate speakers with this device. Each one is labelled for a different place in the room so you can split the sound out correctly. There are 5 "location" speakers and 1 Sub Wooker...
