Disadvantages: No face off feature, Radio code can only be entered using remote, battery life on remote is rubbish and some features can only be accessed using this remote.

Advantages: Fit a CD changers worth on 1CD, good price, ease of use, expandable
Disadvantages: MP3 quality deteriorated with amplification

...Good power head unit if you just want direct replacement for OEM unit, custom fit speakers will be needed to appreciate sound quality in some cars. MP3 quality is good with head unit output but audiophiles should know amplification shows up its weaknesses, although standard CD audio doesn't suffer this problem. Good expandable qualities with 2 sets of RCA's and socket for Sony column joystick (which I have fitted). As a personal preference a full set of Infinity Kappa's really do this head unit justice and will reproduce the full range of music the Sony is capable of outputting. A lot of car manufacturers now fit outstanding speakers as standard so my preference may not be needed.
