...I purchased this unit through QXL. It came as a package coupled with an Aiwa ADC - M60YZ 6 disc changer. ( The multi changer broke down and had to be returned twice ).
The radio unit has been extremely disappointing, reception is fair but don't expect it to hold a signal in weak reception areas. Performance is weak, unable to handle anything stronger than light pop. The CD unit is 'buzzy' and annoying. The display is flahsy and cluttered, even distracting at times. It has recently begun to cut out during operation and needs to be reset to work again.
I've recently replaced the unit with a Sony CDX L550 and already a marked contrast in performance can be noticed.
In short, poor performance, trashy looks. Avoid...

Advantages: It is small and light Disadvantages: The visual deplay is hard to see
.... With this MP3/ CD player you can get hundreds of songs onto a CD without having to splash out a lot of money. The only problem you might have with this protect is the size of the screen. When i bought the Thomson Lyra PDP 2080 it really didn't bother me and i found that there wasn't much different in having a small screen and infact it means less battery power is used up. Advantages: Cheap, good audio quality, solid build Disadvantages: Lid not quite flush, no remote, no m3u support

The benefits of MP3 storage on a data CD are obvious: a 700MB CD will store about 175 tracks, or over ten hours at 128kbps. On even the longest car journeys, you could probably make do with a single CD and never hear the same track twice.
The Lyra is a pretty solid unit - the lid is metal, the hinges feel solid and the base of the unit doesn't flex either. It's quite stylish too - the lid is two-tone silver with a silver mp3 logo in the middle. There is a slight bulge at the back of the unit, as it takes four AA batteries, but overall the unit is as compact as the cheaper CD Walkmans, albeit...

If the 50's were the golden age of the American western then by the early 60's the genre was definitely in the doldrums. However in the mid to late sixties the western received a massive boost from an unusual quarter, Italy. Sergio Leone made a series of more
