This is an excellent title. A great starter book for any parent trying to come to terms with a child who displays a plethora of difficult and disturbing behaviours. What Mr Train's book brings here is to show parents (and the general public) that it is not their fault that their child might be hyperactive, impulsive and inattentive (not to mention many displaying other difficult and debilitating symptoms). What first struck me about this book was that Mr Train describes MY SON within the first couple of pages. He paints a scenario all to familiar to me (and no doubt to many other parents). After reading this I knew I wasn't alone. That other parents have children just as difficult as mine.
The book looks at treating with medication, how to help your child, home and school accomodations and much much more. It is an English title so the contents pertain to the UK situation - very helpful as many ADD books are American.
A good book to start off with if you are worried about your child and if he or she is displaying certain behaviours which are dramatically impacting on their ability to function socially, emotionally and educationally.
