Advantages: quick access time, strong Disadvantages: none
...Me and all my team use these memory sticks at work and would recommend them to anyone. They are brill at transferring data between computers and back again, etc. Fast access time as well. I bought a universal (unbranded) 1Gb USB stick off ebay and it takes forever to transfer 200Mb +, but this one can do it in a 3rd of the time. I was inpressed.
They are very strong and built to last.
Excellent storage capacity. Windows XP ghost image no problem what so ever and the time it takes is just like running it from the hard drive.
You get most of the 4Gb space as well, compared to some USB sticks that say 1Gb, 2Gb etc and you dont get like 400Mb or something like that......

Advantages: Fast and quiet Disadvantages: Lack of instructions
...Can you possibly fill in 80 GB worth of data on your computer?
I can - all those MP3s, applications and games meant that upgrading from an exisiting 10 GB drive was essential.
Costing around £80, the Deskstar 120GXP did not come with any fixtures or fitting, leads or indeed, instructions.
If you are au fait with PC upgrades, all very well, if not you may want someone who is to install it for you.
After 'cloning' the data from my 10 GB drive to the 80 GB Deskstar 120GXP the first thing I noticed is how very quiet the drive is - only the flashing red LED on the front of the PC gives it away.
The drive runs at 7,200 RPM so is considerably faster than old 5,400 RPM drives. You certainly notice the difference - Windows loads faster and games and applications too.
Reviews in magazines have questioned the lifespan of this drive...

Advantages: HaLoads of storage space Disadvantages: Annoying blue light
...I have had my PC for two years now and just recently I managed to fill my 80 GB hard drive up with rubbish. There was so much rubbish on it the hard drive was having problems reading the data. It was so full that I didn't even have enough free space to do a defragmentation of the drive. Anyhow with my birthday looming just around the corner my girlfriend said that I could have a new hard drive as an early present. I only wanted a 100 GB hard drive but after I had had a browse around I discovered that I could get the Iomega 250 GB external hard drive for the same price.
The hard drive itself is silver and has a clear blue strip across the front. The Iomega logo is clearly embossed on the top and underneath there is four rubber feet. There is also two vents one each side to draw in cool air.
Specifications:
