That said, it is fine for printing text (which usually comes out better when bold), although if you look closely you will see the pixelated edges. A useful application of the graphics printing capability – which probably gives a good idea of the 2420 at the limit of its performance – is bar-code printing. ...codes upon them so when entering these items into my stock I just scan the bar code that is on the item. The invoices, orders and payments do not have barcodes. I need to make a bar code for these. This is not as hard as you may imagine. I have software which is widely available that lets you generate new bar codes. These codes are for my own use only and I cannot go changing the codes on the products. The software has a wizard tool that takes you step by step through the creation process. At the end you are ready to print out a self adhesive label on a laser printer and apply it to any relevant paperwork. Other bar codes that must be scanned are things like couriers consignment codes. The best way to discover a reseller near you is to go to Axiohm's website at www.axiohm.co.uk... If you need a printer that is dedicated to produce labels and/or barcodes then, pricewise this unit cannot be beaten. It can be used in a direct thermal or thermal transfer mode and consumables are readily available. Last time I looked these units were being sold with a 2 year warranty as well ! The unit comes boxed with everything you need to get started including label making software. The downside is that Axiohm seem to be a bit vague in areas where technical support is required....
