Manufacturer's product description
The SNC is the interface between storage and Open System Host interfaces and provides Fiber Channel to SCSI connectivity as well as the ability to manage the library and other devices within the storage network. The SNC provides two Fiber Channel interfaces. The FC interfaces are configured with Giga Bit Interface Converter (GBIC) modules. In addition, the SNC has four Ultra2 SCSI interfaces. The Ultra2 interfaces are Low Voltage Differential (LVD). The SNC maps addresses across and between these different interfaces and preserves the persistency of the address maps across power ups of systems, devices, and the SNC. The SNC supports the attachment of up to 2048 unique devices across multiple interfaces. The SNC processes SCSI-3 and SCSI-2 protocols for disk, tape, and tape medium changer devices. It can report the host and devices that are attached to its interfaces. The SNC has the capability to manage the access security between end points on the Fiber Channel interfaces and the SCSI channels. The SNC is aware of the hosts and devices that are attached to its interfaces and provides access security between hosts and devices. Access security between different hosts and devices is a requirement for multi-initiator SAN solutions. Using the ADIC Management Console you can partition the SAN for different levels of access and performance. The SNC can move data directly between storage devices that are attached to it. This direct movement of data can be from disk to disk, disk to tape, tape to disk or tape to tape.
Advantages: Decent performance, cheap, you can tell you're mates "I got one too!" Disadvantages: Not as fast as Pentium 4 rated at same speed, not future proof
...stands for XPerience. Sure... any excuse for AMD...
Installing it was a breeze. Just earth yourself first before you take it out of it's box, being very careful not to touch it anywhere but the sides. The motherboard itself has the socket with a lever, just lift up the lever and slide the processor pins into the socket and close the lever. You have to check for orientation as well or the pins could get really bent out of place. After inserting it into the socket, you'll need to install the heatsink/fan onto the processor, be sure to use a flathead screw driver because that would help you hook one of the ends into place on the motherboard. Plug the fan into the motherboard et voila! Installed Athlon! Now just boot up and adjust the speed in the BIOS. If I remember corrently, the AMD Athlon XP 3000+ runs at 2.167GHz. That's not surprising...

Advantages: Ability to print straight onto the surface of a CD Disadvantages: Front door flap for outgoing paper tends to bang down giving you the impression that it may break
...I had no idea printers these days had the ability to print as fast as this one does, until there was an IP3000 bought for Christmas. It seriously feels like as soon as you put the paper in, the printer has done its job and spat it out again! Fantastic!
I have noticed there is a higher model of this called the IP4000 which can print slightly faster. But if you ask me, an extra £30 purely to save an extra couple of seconds on print isn't worth it.
Heres why this printer is an amazing contraption:
^^^^ Features ^^^^
I suppose the most noticable function the IP3000 can perform is printing direct onto a CD surface. There is a CD drawer in which you simply insert a blank CD and away you go. Of course you would need blank faced CDs. The cheapest ones I managed to find were from PC World. They're Verbatim make and they cost £6...

Advantages: Incredible power and speed Disadvantages: High end of the price spectrum
...The heart that beats inside any PC is the CPU, and the stronger the heart, the faster the system.
There are two main rivals that give us the modern consumer-level CPU chips we have today. You'll either have an AMD or a Pentium CPU inside your PC, and both of them are trying to one-up eachother all the time, which is great news for us. The top-of-the-range chips we have today are incredibly powerful, and more than enough for the job. AMD's leading chip series is the 'Athlon XP', designed to work magnificently in XP systems, but just as well in non-XP Operators.
Enter the AMD Athlon XP 3000+.
The AMD Athlon XP 3000+ is one of those chips. a CPU chip designed for premium performance and responsiveness, and it looks like the aim was met with flying colours. The CPU is the small square of silicon that acts as the engine behind your...

This is a great product, however I would not recommend it if you frequently use your laptop whilst travelling. I would however recommend this laptop to those who have laptops at home. This is a great way to store your laptop. I found it easy to attach more
I think I must be going through one of those times in your life when you just want to be slightly different to what you already are. Don’t get me wrong I’m not unhappy being me, in fact I think it is because I am so comfortable that I feel... more
