...The HP ScanJet 5100C is a great bit of kit, it is fairly cheap and produces some stunning scan results. The scanning software bundled with the scanner is also excelent and really simplifies the whole process of getting high quality colour images onto your PC. The process of scanning is presented in several logical and easy to follow stages. Firstly you place the document or object onto the scanner and press the green button on the front of the device. This loads the software automatically. The software is very simple to use, you simply press Scan to start the scan process. When this is complete the user can specify regions of the document for special processing. E.g a text area can be highlighted for the OCR software to decipher into editable text. ...This webcam is a piece of crap. Many of the complaints on this cam are having a very poor software support and much complaint for not working properly with yahoo messenger. However the Yahoo messenger will work on this one but the video will be very choppy if you are behind a firewall. If you are using a software firewall, enable port 5100. If you are using a broadband gateway or other type of router, you need to setup a either a virtual server or a port trigger. The port triggers are great if multiple computers on your network want to use the web cam. Just set up a trigger on port 5100 that opens 5100. If only you will use the camera, set up a Virtual Server that routes all traffic on port 5100 to your local IP address. Advantages: Fast Printing, Not Bad Price
Disadvantages: Dragging Black Ink, Quality of print

...Most of us have printer to go with that desktop we have in our home office or on the desk where we Surf the Web and chat to people online. I bought the Canon BJC 5100 (BJC stands for Bubble Jet Color). It was pretty good deal for about $250 Canadian Dollars (Roughly £100 so not too bad). I think you can tell I'm not too enthusiastic about this printer. I'll tell you why. Installation The printer came with a easy to understand booklet and a easy follow through CD-ROM. To install, I just popped the CD in and got the printer installed in no time. No help needed. What I was also happy about was that it installed Adobe Photoshop 5.0 which is a good program to modify, enlargen etc. your pictures.
