I have vast amounts of mail, packages and parcels delivered and picked up from my home address and storage facility on a daily basis. In order to keep on top of the mail and the stock I use bar coding. Bar coding helps me keep a track of all orders and run a successful business. I bar code almost everything. Products I sell have bar codes on them as most products nowadays have. These are scanned and recorded as I enter the items into my stock and as they are sent to my customers. With all orders there is an invoice. Again I bar code the invoice by printing out a bar code label and sticking it to the invoice. When orders and payments are received through the post, they are also bar coded using a scanner coding machine... Read review

Advantages: qick and easy to use
Disadvantages: hard to replace labels!

...The LabelWriter 400 Turbo prints at a speed of 55 labels per minute, which makes it an extremely fast printer, unfortunately it never seems that fast! It offers really good label quality and flexibility but with the power and speed to save you time and money. it has a great new design, automatic back up, usb connection and the software is really easy to use. you can store all your labels (in my case addresses so much easier) and it can also print bar codes etc. the only problem that occurs is when the labels run out. when you replace them you have to make sure they are positioned exactly right, if not it won't print anything, very frustrating. overall it is a very good printer, but the labels aren't that cheap, and the service from dymo is as you'd expect!... ...also gives you a clearer and bigger field of view than the Dymo equivalents. Handy when reviewing a label that has more than 8 characters on it! In fact the screen has 3 lines of text and up to 16 characters long. The machine itself reminds me of an old fashioned electric typewriter from the late 80s! However this is more than just a typewriter. The best bit of all is you are not limited to Letters and Numbers on this printer. Instead you can print bar codes if you so desire. Handy when performing an inventory with handheld scanners. The labels themselves also appear to be very durable and laminated in appearance. This means that they should last for years. They are also extremely sticky so try not to stick them in the wrong place as peeling them off afterlonger than an hour or so will prove impossible! You can even hook it up to your PC... Read review
