If you have ever installed a PCI card before then installing this will be the same. Easy once you know how and have the confidence. The manual gives really good directions on how to do this if it is your first time.
Installing drivers was easy - it was detected by my win2000 and installed them straight away via the wizard.

The provided firewire cable appears to be of hight quality.
The bundled software is Ulead VideoStudio 8 SE VCD - which is very good as far as bundled software goes. Capturing video was easy - editing was easy - there is even some wizard that helps you edit it - and saving/exporting was easy.
In conclusion the Firewire card works. The provided firewire cable works and looks durable. The bundled software is really good and easy to use for beginners but for the more creative person then it is not adequate as there are not enough functions. It is reasonably priced.
