Advantages: Good energy condumption Disadvantages: ?
...When my dad needed a new freezer a couple of years ago he bought an ElectroluxAEG A75320. Product Code: 922 270 360 He bought it in white although I think a couple of other colours are available. This is an upright freezer it is a freestanding frost free one.
The capacity is 7.3cuft, 293 litre it is1350mmtall 598mmwide depth is 620mm.
It is possible to buy a matching fridge.
Now you may think that’s pretty big for an old man of 87 on his own but it really is useful. He lives in a small village his nearest supermarket about 5 miles away, ok there is a tiny village shop come post office. Dad still grows some of his own vegetables and some soft fruits so he can freeze excess. What’s more when I visit I usually take some home cooked meals casseroles shepherd’s pies and the like so he can use them when he needs too.
This is a freezer...

Advantages: Beautiful Disadvantages: Doesn't work; AEG customer services very poor
...Beautiful bit of kit that doesn't work! Problems are : 1. Bad design. Either that or it's broken (AEG now taken it back) 2. AEG customer services inability / unwillingness to do anything!
It may be the design at fault. A microscopically small pellet of coffee is used. Around 25% of expected volume on a decent machine.
The real problem is AEG customer services. Sent an engineer, who DIDN'T ACTUALLY TRY IT OUT just supposedly diagnosed a problem and carted it off. Waited and waited x weeks, x months for non-available part. Got fed up, demanded a replacement. No problem they said. Since when, nothing but evasion, lies, broken promises. "We are out of stock across the UK". Escalating to legal action now. Not what you expect for £800....

Advantages: n/a Disadvantages: AEG Customer Services
...I purchased an AEG 86720 in 2000 and after 4 years it needed new brushes for its motor (£25, i was a little anoyed, but got over it) and then 12 months later, the circuit boards that control the motor have blown. It has been inspected by Service Force engineer and is quoted at £400 for the circuit boards and replacement motor.
I paid £700 back in 2000 and AEG are doing nothing to help. I bought an AEG because i expected top quality product and expected first class support from their customer service. I am upset and disappointed with my washing machine and with AEG. I will never buy an AEG-Electrolux product again.
I have contacted AEG who, after much argument, agreed to help pay for some percentage of the parts, but only if i pay the engineer's call out charge. I agreed, since AEG offered to pay some part towards parts. Later AEG...

When we changed our kitchen one of my priorities was to have a decent extractor. I generally dislike strong cooking smells working their way through my house but some smells are worse than others; a decent deep fat fryer took care of the fried foods and... more
