...I have been using dishwashers since 1976 and the Aeg F80860 has to be the best one so far. The installation instructions included in the manual are comprehensive and are easy to follow. The machine was ready to use, as soon as the salt had been added and run through empty. The only sound that can be heard is the water running through the pipes when the machine draws water or lets it go down the drain. It has a short cycle of 30 minutes for those rinsed, less soiled dishes. There is also the option to have an economic wash which can be programmed to run at night. Somewhere in between is a programme to suit every load of dishes. Easy enough to set the programme or leave it on one setting for the same type of wash each time. The dish wracks all fold down for maximum flexibility. Glass holders can be used to hold the long-stemmed or beer... Read review

Avoid at all costs

Advantages: Beautiful
Disadvantages: Doesn't work; AEG customer services very poor

...Beautiful bit of kit that doesn't work! Problems are : 1. Bad design. Either that or it's broken (AEG now taken it back) 2. AEG customer services inability / unwillingness to do anything! It may be the design at fault. A microscopically small pellet of coffee is used. Around 25% of expected volume on a decent machine. The real problem is AEG customer services. Sent an engineer, who DIDN'T ACTUALLY TRY IT OUT just supposedly diagnosed a problem and carted it off. Waited and waited x weeks, x months for non-available part. Got fed up, demanded a replacement. No problem they said. Since when, nothing but evasion, lies, broken promises. "We are out of stock across the UK". Escalating to legal action now. Not what you expect for £800.... Read review
