The real problem is AEG customer services. Sent an engineer, who DIDN'T ACTUALLY TRY IT OUT just supposedly diagnosed a problem and carted it off. Waited and waited x weeks, x months for non-available part. Got fed up, demanded a replacement. No problem they said. Since when, nothing but evasion, lies, broken promises. "We are out of stock across the UK". Escalating to legal action now. Not what you expect for £800.

I regret not taking heed of the advice given on this site before I purchased this machine, so I urge you to learn from my mistake - DO NOT BUY THIS AEG COFFEE MACHINE. After 18 months of ownership I would say that I have had 13 months of functioning coffee machine. The rest of the time it lies dormant waiting to be fixed or replaced. I've had 2 machines now and the 2nd one has just broken, so its clear the issue is a fundamental design flaw. No matter ... ...I am in the process of trying to persuade AEG to give me my money back so I can go and buy a decent coffee machine. AEG know how hopeless this machine is, because they have stopped making it. Its old stock thats for sale now, but as I say don't be tempted. ...
