Advantages: Looks good, full of room, big doors, big shelves, easy to clean Disadvantages: None
I moved into my new house about a year and a half ago and as it came unfurnished needed to buy a fridge pretty quickly. Being half American I had always loved the big American Fridges that hold enough food for a family for about a year with a water filter on the front and an ice machine so I had this in mind when I went to Currys.
However as I found out these fridges are also quite wide and the space I had to put my fridge in was quite small which is when I came across the AEG Electrolux fridge/freezer. IT was £650 at Currys which I didn't think was too bad.
The first thing that attracted me to this fridge was the look and design. It's a free standing, chrome fridge so it's not plastic looking like some fridges. The outside is very easy to clean as it is just wipe clean. It has two section, the fridge portion and the freezer ...
Advantages: It looked the part but wasn't up to the job Disadvantages: The grill element broke twice. The second time it left shards of glass inside the microwave.
I bought the sister to this model, the 1751 last July 2008. The grill did not work and they repaired it and then it failed again and AEG said they could not repair it and had stopped making it. The 1751 and 1761 are identical other than the size of the housing. As a built in microwave it was obviously essential to me to be able to replace the microwave with one of an identical size, to fit in the space specifically made for it in my hand made kitchen. AEG would only offer me a full refund or this model which is 10 cms bigger than the cupboard! I managed to source an alternative which was a Miele. This would have cost AEG about £100/150 to supply it to me, and I was well within the 12 month guarantee. THEY WOULD NOT HELP ME. I contacted Miele and they were absolutely brilliant. They supplied me with a M8151 at a substantial discount, so ...
Advantages: performs brilliantly and quietly. Disadvantages: more expensive than some.
Here I am about to write a review on a washing machine! I can?t quite believe it. A few months ago the most I could tell you about a washing machine was that if you put dirty clothes in and worked it properly clean clothes would come out, however being that I don?t like to spend a lot of money without checking into things I can tell you I now know a lot more.
My tuition on washing machines started in February when my old washing machine started having real problems. Not prepared to part with a large sum of money for a new one without knowing what I should be looking for I started to read a bit about them and when I start reading I can?t stop. The washing machine I eventually chose is the AEG L64810 and I will now endeavour to tell you why.
The AEG L64810 has many functions that you will find on most modern machines but also a few ...
