The AFK2801 is close to top of the range for Bosch, and has a range of spin speeds up to 1400rpm (B) (top of the range offers 1600rpm). Energy wise it rates A, and an A for wash performance. With around 20 programmes to choose from, we've had no problems with any of our day to day washing.
An additional nicety is a 'time remaining' display, as well as an audible warning when the cycle completes, and the stainless steel drum should last as long as anything else in the machine.
I can't comment on the noise, as we have the machine in our integral garage and I never hear anything other than the 'beep' signalling the end of the wash.
I'm quietly confident that we'll have this machine around for the next 12years at least.......

Advantages: looks good when delivered Disadvantages: customer services crap
...We purchased the bellling DB900E when we had our kitchen replaced, it seemed a good idea and we always wanted a 'range' style cooker. however the control panel after 13 months of use, had disappeared completely, so that we couldn't see what setting the oven or hob was on. we contacted the customer services dept, who advised us that the part was out of stock and it would be sent out. 3 months later and it has just been fitted, as a good will jesture, but now the fan oven element has stopped heating up. belling say that as it is out of guarantee and to have it looked at and replaced will cost in excess of £150. this is disgusting considering that you've paid out a grand on a cooker - i expect Belling only think it should last a year to 18 months so they'll sting you for more money. Well not me, I'm going to avoid any ovens made...

My previous washer/dryer lasted just over 3 years, my husband was forever taking it apart to remove items from the pump, children seem to hide hairbands in the most obscure places, when the dryer stopped working I needed a replacement.
