The AGB phones are sensibly designed to fit into any home, and the choice of materials is appropriate for the price point, certainly they are not disappointingly flimsy.

General ======== The AGB TAM twin is a decent stab at producing a good value for money cordless answer phone of reasonabkle quality. It's not going to set the design world on fire, but nor will it look out of place in your home.
Features ======== In the pack you get 2 phones and two base stations, one of which plugs into the BT socket. The answerphone is integral to one of the handsets. You can record your own answerphone message in place of the default on if you wish. When playing back messages that have been left, they are played through a loudspeaker which is of good enough quality to make out what has been said without difficulty. It is also possible to use these phones in hands-free mode, and againt his works well with no difficulties experienced in either hearing or being heard. The phone comes with ten alternative ringtones, most of which are awful. There is no means of adding new ringtones so you'll have to find one you like! The menu structure is simple and easily navigated, I didn't really need to refer to the manual. Some of the methods for controlling the answer machine are a little confusing at first, but you soon learn how it is supposed to work. There is a phone book to store numbers, however the redial facility is a bit limited, holding only 3 numbers.
Design ====== The phones and base-stations are constructed from two-tone ABS plastic. The phones in particular feel solidly constructed and slot easily into their charging sockets on the base stations. This is in marked contrast to some more expensive and sleeker looking phones that turn out to have a disappointing build quality compared to the expectation garnered by the design. The AGB phones are sensibly designed to fit into any home, and the choice of materials is appropriate for the price point, certainly they are not disappointingly flimsy. The displays are backlit with an attractive blue light. The buttons are clearly laid out, these are rubberised but have a reassuring and positive action.
Overall ====== With these phones, you get what you pay for. The manufacturers have clearly gone for quality over design with a limited budget - a wise choice. Make no mistake, these are not the best phones you can buy in any sense of the word, but they are probably the best phones you can buy for similar price. Other phones around this price point either lack an answerphone or have sacrificed quality for the sake of looking smarter. You will not be disappointed with these telephones if you are looking for a well-designed and easy to use digital cordless with an answer machine for less than 50 quid. Main bugbear is the awful selection of ringtones, although there are a couple that are acceptable.
