...I bought this Turbocad v4 professional bcause I already had turbcad
v2.2 on a cheapie offer and I needed more functions and relibility.
'v4' performs the CAD function very well in comparison to AutoCad
which appears to be the industry standard.
The package is quick and easy to setup and use use and one explores the extra functions as required.
Within an hour of installing the package I had produced and printed
a multilayer building plan on AO.
A function of particular interest to me was importing/exporting
files to various other packages in differing file formats which works
very well and saved me a lot of work.
This package falls short of the Autocad package, but not far short.
I bought the package for £50 at a computer sale, the original
price showed £99, still a lot cheaper than Autocad....

Advantages: Security & reliability Disadvantages: Hardware support
...Windows NT4 is a very reliable product that is one of the more stable MS products. It is not designed for domestic use and playing games, but in for bussiness implementation. The advantages far outweigh the drawbacks with the operating system. The advantages are the security features that are none existant in either W95 or W98, the system can be locked down so that sensitive information is securly protected. The drawback is it is now getting a bit behind in its hardware support, mainly round USB peripherals that are not supported.
Overall, this is the prefered OS for bussiness lan installations where reliability and security is very important....

Advantages: Speed, relabilty Disadvantages: newer version avalible
...Windows NT server has now been superseded by Windows 2000 server, NT server can still run all the software and has less hardware requirements, I would say it was the better choice for most networks as it is a proven solution and has a high user base. Windows 2000 server will still have bugs and problems for quite a will yet.
If you update Windows NT server 4.0 to the latest service pack (5) you will have a large number of the newest features, also This product will be selling at a reduced price now....
